How are Persimmons grown and harvested?

The Persimmon grows on a small to medium size deciduous
tree. The tree is very ornamental, growing into a graceful
weeping shape. The leaves are large glossy dark green and
turn brilliant orange when they begin to fall in autumn.
Autumn is also when they also display their bright
orange-red fruit.
